Magic's puppies have nearly doubled their size in their first week of life. They are very active and,
although their eyes are still closed, they move around a lot. We have moved them into a small paddling pool because two of
the puppies managed to break out and go over the side of their first bed! I expect we will be moving them again,
very soon.
Magic has taken to motherhood very well. At first, when all the puppies cried at
once she cried with them. As the mother of twins, I know how she felt. Magic is very confident now. She will lie outside
the bed but close enough to keep an eye on her babies. Digby wanted to check out his new cousins but a glance from Magic quickly
had him backing off. He stands outside the room, listening to the puppy squeaks and wagging his tale. When
Magic takes her potty break she likes to play with him. They race around the yard together. I wish I recovered from giving
birth as quickly as she has.
