PUPPIES 2009 UPDATE

 At two weeks old, the pupppies have tripled their birth size and their eyes are  open. They now raise themselves up, on wobbly legs, to walk around. (Before they crawled). They are starting to play with each other, nibbling ears, noses and  pulling tails. The cream boys have very black lips and noses. Their eyes appear to have black eye-liner around them.This week we will introduce meat and goats milk into the puppies diet. Already their noses twitch at the smell of meat and they will lick the finely ground turkey. By the end of the week they will be eating with little, if any assistance. We have found our puppies prefer to eat meat before they will lap milk. Puppies like to climb into their bowls to eat. All our dogs are free fed. Food, milk and water will always be available so they get to share without competition. Our adult dogs will happily share the same food bowl.
